I thought I had posted this sunset image earlier, but can't find it here. The local business community wants more development, translating directly to less sea oats and fewer dunes.

Good image with foreground path leading to Hotel. Fits in with the comments you made and makes me think. Would like to see some full black in the picture to give it a little bite.

I like the perspective with the view through the grasses with the touch of man only hinted at (it is a shame that everything needs to be developed... leave some of the wild and develop the downtown areas of the city), the contrast between the colors found in the sunset sky and the hues of the beachscape and the sense of peacefulness that is evoked by the setting.

The old story - everyone wants to live there for the scenery and atmosphere and when they've finished building over it they wonder where the beauty has gone.
Our dunes are all protected as a specialised environment.
Your picture shows just how unseemly the choice of building style is amongst those beautiful dunes. Or as Prince Charles would say "a carbuncle on the face the of America". Surely, if development is necessary it could be more sympathetic to its surroundings.

A lovely shot through the sea oats. I avoid the Myrtle Beaches, Daytonas etc like the plague and stick to older, smaller and in my eyes more attractive towns. Rows of high rise hotels right on the beach don't do it for me at all! Naturally developers don't want to build back from the shoreline, just turn it all into one gigantic hotel strip mall.
