Just trying imagine this fellow in a helmet with that beard enclosed within the helmet... it has to be hot. Another interesting image, for me, from the re-enactment you were photographing.

Nice capture, really sharp and good expression on his face. Bet the red marks on his nose are from his specs! I used to be in a western club and had a wire rimmed octagonal lensed set so I didn't look out of place wearing them. He would though.
By the way Vic, I'm Kidderminster born and bred - not scouser. We use rezzer for reservoir down here as well.

Not so sure about a bad night, but does look like a bad hair day! Nice portait shot - lots of interesting details, the fact he's looking out of the frame adds to the interest.
